Our intricate three dimensional Shisa Charm is lost wax cast in sterling silver. My husband, Art created the design using 3-D software and printed them with a resin printer. Subsequently they were lost wax cast in sterling silver. This open mouth Shisa Charm is detailed down to its tiny teeth and the traditional Japanese cloud swirls. This substantial charm is 7/8" high and 3/4" across.
The Shisa is a guardian creature that is part lion, dog and dragon. In other parts of Asia, these might be called Foo Dogs or Shishi. In Okinawa, pairs of Shisas flank gateways or keep watch from rooftops to ward off evil spirits.
