Rivulets of blue opalescence snake through the ironstone matrix and form the shape of a Viper's head. Do you see the snakes eye centered at the top of the tear drop stone? Do you see the triangular jaw line in the blue opal veining and the suggestion of fangs at the bottom of the triangle? If I don't first sell this opal on it's own, I plan on creating a fluid snake to guard this stone. The dimensions of this 50 carat Australian Boulder opal are 34mm x 26.3mm.
