The Cresting Wave, securing this Shark Tooth Wave Pendant is lost wax cast in sterling silver. The shark tooth is a fossilized Otodus tooth from Morocco. The pendant is 1-1/2” across and 1-1/4” high.
Otodus sharks lived from the Paleocene (66 million years ago) to the Miocene (5million years ago.) Sharks in general have many rows of teeth and as front rows are shed, back rows move forward. Otodus shark teeth are plentiful but finding the perfect specimen is difficult. Alisha hand picks each tooth. Each specimen has its unique characteristics and time worn imperfections.
