I have named this 27.5 carat Australian Koroit opal, "Reef Treasure." Of all the opals that I purchased at Tucson in February, this is my favorite. It is 1 1/8 inches long and shimmers intensley with the intoxicating colors of a tropical reef. I may design an 18K gold dragon to guard this incredible stone; or ocean waves may caress it.
