This organic, 31 carat, Mexican Matrix Fire Opal has a story to tell. Naming each opal is part of our process and we try hard to choose appropriate names that suit each stone. I imagine this stone to contain some alien life form waiting to hatch; thus the name Oospore. The opal nodules are bursting with opalescence and intrigue. I have designed an 18K gold Octopus around this unusual treasure. This stone is 1" long and 7/8" wide.
