Alisha spotted this remarkable Ethiopian Matrix Opal at the 2025 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Because of the rising price of Mexican and Australian opals, we decided to expand our collection and purchase a few Ethiopian Opals. We examined many enticing rainbow colored Ethiopian Opals but favored these unusual one’s trapped within their matrix. Each one has a story to tell hidden within the translucent gem.
