Fiddleheads are unfurled fern fronds and are not only beautiful but are foraged and eaten as a culinary delicacy around the world. There are numerous varieties of fiddleheads most of which are rich in omega fatty acids but some variants can be toxic if not prepared properly. In my imagination this delicate fiddlehead belongs in an enchanted forest or fairy glen.
