"Biolumine" - This 13 carat Mexican Fire Opal surges with bioluminescence. The solid and undulating shape of the stone suggest a powerful wave. The iridescent opalescent sheen of subtle lavender, blue and gold makes this opal uniquely beautiful. I purchased this opal directly from Miguel Tamayo whose family mines are in Magdalena, Jalisco. I have been shopping with him for over 15 years and although his English is no better than my Spanish, he knows that I want only his highest quality stones. I will create an 18K gold one of a kind design around this remarkable opal. It is 21.1mm long and 10.9mm across.
