Loading... Please wait...I want to thank those of you who are requesting custom work. Custom work generally falls into one of four categories.
1. Nearly all of my designs can be cast in a different material e.g. 18K gold rather than 14K gold or sterling silver. Most of charms can be made into earrings by hanging them on a french hook. I am also happy to accommodate requests to convert my charms and pendants into pins, tie tacks or cufflinks.
2. Embellishing one of my existing design with a different gemstone or creating the design in a different color of gold or in platinum. Although these special requests are not always easy, I am happy to accommodate them. It is helpful if you are clear in your vision and even more helpful if you know your budget. The price of different gem stones varies widely. The quality and carat weight of the chosen stone determines the ultimate price. I can make suggestions to meet your vision and to stay within your budget, and we will know immediately if desire and budget will mesh. I will make alternative suggestions when necessary.
3. Creating a one of a kind design around one of my unset opals, fire agates or other unique free form gemstones. I prefer to create these one of a kind pieces in 14K or 18K gold. Prices for these very time consuming pieces start at $3000. The time involved, the stone chosen and the weight of the finished piece determines the ultimate price. Expect to pay anywhere between $3000 to $12,000.
*I would be delighted to create a most unique and precious piece of jewelry where price is not the determining factor.
4. I have many requests for designs that are already on my “To Do” list. I simply lack the time to create them all. Should the piece you desire be on that list, your e-mail request just might bump it to the top. There will be no custom design charge and no deposit required. My verbal or e-mail commitment to you will motivate me to move forward with that design. Carving just a simple charm and seeing it through completion can take several months. Please understand that I can commit to just a few of these projects each season.
I look forward to working together in creating a unique heirloom piece.
