Our Squid and Nautilus Pendant is cast in bronze and is 3" long, intricately detailed, and completely three dimensional.
This is a collaborative design between Marty and her husband Art. Art rendered the Nautilus using a 3-D Rhino Cad program. He printed the image and gave Marty a miniature blue submarine model. Using old school wax sculpting skills, Marty created the miniature squid wrapping tiny squid tentacles around the length of the submarine.
"The Attack of the Nautilus" is inspired by Jules Verne's classic tale, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Lower the periscope, batten down the hatches and submerge for 20,000 fathoms of adventure. The ticket price for this adventure ride is quite reasonable.
The price includes a 24" black cord but you may upgrade to a bronze chain via the drop down menu.
Our bronze pendants are antiqued lightly and bronze will tarnish or patina over time. To maintain the golden color, clean with Mrs. Wright’s Silver Cream and rinse with water. Do not dip in liquid anti tarnish cleaners.
