This One of a Kind Shark Grotto Opal Pendant is cast in 18K gold. I was inspired to design this piece by the shark fin shape of the 17.5 carat Australian Boulder Opal. The opal shimmers with cobalt blue and turquoise. I inverted the opal to be a deep ocean reflection of the sharks fin. Spiky stylized swirls create the illusion of a coral grotto and the Shark skims atop the waves. Three natural Paraiba Tourmalines, the intoxicating color of a tropical sea are set in the spiky coral swirls. The overall dimensions are 1 3/8" high x 1.25" across.
