I was inspired to create this Cypress-Bonsai Tree pendant by the windswept and gnarled Cypress trees that grow along the Monterey Bay. The pendant is cast in solid 14k gold and is 1-1/4" high and 1-1/8" across. A 5mm tsavorite is set in the curvature between the trunk and branches. Whether you perceive this design as the Monterey Cypress tree or as a Japanese Bonsai tree, both are testimonies to endurance, adaptation and survival.
