This vintage Beauty and the Beast Neckpiece is cast in solid sterling silver. l sculpted the original piece in 1984, the year that Alisha was born and when I was still doing business as Marty Magic. Tendrils of Beauty's hair and her flowing dress swirl around the dying Beast. The detailed and anatomically correct beast hods a rose in his hand and the sculpted rose chain completes the tabloid. The dimensions of Beauty and the Beast are 3 1/4" across and 2" high. The 14 link rose chain makes the overall length of the neckpiece 18 1/2" long.
This piece came back to me earlier this year when Kathy Hall closed their shop at the Carver Massachusetts Rennaissance Faire. She and her previously deceased husband Bob carried Marty Magic Jewelry at the fair and she had quite a few vintage treasures when she retired.
