This graceful dragon clutches an shimmery 8.75 carat Mexican Fire Opal. I recently returned from the Arizona Gem and Mineral Show where I hand picked this stone. Not many jewelry designers work with these free form Mexican Fire Opals since they offer design challenges that the Australian cabochon opal does not. This superb opal flashes green and yellow, is top quality and the 18K gold compliments the fiery colors of the opal. The dragon is 1 1/2" long from tail to wingtip.
