The Archipelago Moon Dragon is guardian of a 27.5 carat Australian Koroit opal. The opal is 1 1/8 inches long and shimmers intensley with the intoxicating colors of a tropical reef. This one of a kind dragon pendant is cast in 18K gold. Golden waves carress and flames blaze along the sculpted bezel setting of the opal. A 6mm rainbow moonstone floats in the curve between the dragons tail and wing. A half carat trillion blue green tourmaline accents the bottom of the pendant. The pendant is 2 1/2" high and 1 3/8" across. I designed this pendant as a commemorative gift for our son John's graduation from S.F.S.U. 5/27/2016. The inspiration for this piece has been brewing for the past five years during John's undergraduate studies for his Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Limnology.
